What wildlife have you stopped seeing where you live?
Environmental change is sometimes visible long before it appears in a report.
Fewer insects.
Different birds.
Disappearing frogs.
Changes in fish populations.
Have you noticed a species becoming more common — or disappearing — in your area?
Memory can give us a reason to look more carefully, but it is not a substitute for a record. Season, weather, time spent outdoors and changes in where we look can all affect what we notice. If you have photographs, repeated counts or a local monitoring source, explain how they were collected. Please do not share precise locations of vulnerable species.
• Which species have changed? • Over what period? • Is there a local record we could compare?
